Globe
casing company was founded in the Bronx of New York in the early
1950's to provide the meat industry dependable selection of natural
casing. In May of 1970 the business was moved to its current location
in Lodi, New Jersey. In 1971 a department was added to handle a
complete line of fibrous casing. This department custom cuts and
caps casings to the customer specifications. A few years later the
hukki line of casing joined the list of products available. Over
the years many convenience items were added to the product line
to better serve our customers, such as stockinets, elastic netting,
buttnets, skinless casings, collagen casings, twine, and a clipper
machine. As a result, in 1998 we became an official distributor
for the Viscofan USA.
Our
fibrous casings come in two varieties; a fibrous, smoke-permeable
casing for your smoked sausages and processed meat and ham products,
and a fibre-reinforced cellulose casing with an inner barrier for
non-smoked, cooked sausages.
Our
natural hog casings are premium selected for uniformity and tender
for eating, but strong for your stuffing needs. They are also excellent
for fresh, smoked, cooked, and dried sausage. We offer two grades
of sheep casings one for your fine emulsion the other for your coarse
emulsion both are uniform selected in the size you want. We offer
beef rounds for your larger sausage products and beef middles for
all types of bologna and cooked salami.
