ABOUT US

storied Heritage with a Commitment to Excellence

Globe Casing Company was founded in the Bronx in 1952 to provide local sausage makers a dependable selection of natural casings. In the early '70s, the company relocated to Lodi, New Jersey and began offering a complete line of fibrous and non-edible collagen casings. These new product lines offered Globe’s customers a superior product at a more affordable price. Along with offering the artificial casings, Globe also started to offer custom capping and looping services based on customer specifications. A few years later the Hukki line of casing joined the list of products available as well as edible collagen casings and peelable “skinless” hot dog casings. Over the years, many convenience items were added to the product line to better serve customers, such as elastic salami netting, ham stockinettes and aluminum clips for all different types of clipping machines.

In the 1990's, Globe introduced plastic casings into the US market. This new casing alternative provides multi-layer support that is excellent for cooking, storing and printing logos with up to 10 colors! Most recently, Globe introduced their very own line of Extra Clear™ vacuum pouches and shrink bags. This explosion in the casing and packaging business caused Globe to outgrow their facility and in 2006 they moved to their current location in Carlstadt, New Jersey, directly across the street from Metlife Stadium & American Dream Meadowlands.
