About Spice Coated Casings

Spice coated casings are fabric based casings pre coated on the inside surface with a layer of spices, herbs, or seasoning blends. As the product is stuffed and the casing fits tightly against the meat, the coating transfers evenly onto the surface, giving every piece the same crusted, seasoned exterior without any manual rubbing, rolling, or hand application.

This is the same coated casing concept used for products like peppered salami, garlic crusted summer sausage, and spicy gyros logs found in delis and specialty markets. The casing is removed after processing, leaving the spice crust on the finished product.

Stocked Varieties

We stock the following spice coated casings in 65 mm diameter, 20 inch (50 cm) pieces. Each piece holds approximately 3 lbs of product.

💡 Custom sizes available. While Black Pepper, Pepper and Garlic, Diablo, and Gyros are stocked in 65mm x 20" pieces, other diameters, lengths, and spice blends can be ordered. Contact us to discuss your specific product and minimum order requirements.

How to Use

Remove the casing from its packaging, no soaking required
Load onto the stuffing horn and fill tightly so the casing makes full contact with the product surface
Handle the casing carefully during stuffing to avoid disturbing or damaging the spice coating
Process according to your standard steaming, smoking, or cooking procedure for the product
After cooling, remove the casing, the spice coating remains on the surface of the finished product
